Yes, due to a reconnaisance mission gone fatally wrong, Shokyaku's face was kinda sorta melted and infused with a metal mask, leaving only one eye viewable. The other, being rendered blind. If not even that, his speech is somewhat muffled due to the mask covering half his face.

Physical Illnesses; If it isn't obvious, Shokyaku is half blind. One of his eyes being rendered innate,
Personality;
Sho... is weird. Weird, and quiet around the people he doesn't know. Usually with a crowd or a select group of people Sho will stay quiet and opt to use facial expression and movement in order to make the point he wants to get across. However in the presence of an idiot he'll use more... obvious facial remarks like slapping his own face, frown or use the universally known hand sign; the finger! However, being out of his own village he seems to be the exact opposite. Outside of the village, Shokyaku is a loud mouth and a bit of an aggressive show off.
Sho, around people he feels comfortable around will also still be quiet and not talk very much, when he usually does talk it's because he has something good to say. Adaptive, intellectual and collects information. But if he does speak it's usually sarcastic, cynical or just a bit of an ass-hole. This leads him to either having close friends that can get past his sarcasm, or will deviate him from social norms.
Sho on the alignment scale he isn't good, nor bad. He is aligned to the neutral chaotic. While he has a certain standard of morals, like the strict policy to never kill a civilian, innocent or child/woman that doesn't deserve it. However, on the other side of the scale Sho is quite pertinent to want to interrogate and torture someone. But even then.. there are things to the eye that only his most closest friends or team-mates need to know.

Now, on the subject of striking while the iron was hot, his mother really dove beneath the belt. "And while you're out there young man, get some training done!" His mother was a woman of class and sharp wit. Nothing less than everything and you'd get a clip behind the ear. It was this time of the year when Sho would sport an oddly set colour of ears. One pale white ear and another beaming red.
._. Sho quickly hurried outside to the dismay of his senses. It was winter. It was snowing. It was Kumogakure. Therefore- The snow was... more than a few feet in depth. Sometimes, the depth could go up to the height of an average man's waist. Sho really hated the cold. Sho's facial expression showed to be very grim as he wrapped himself tighter in his winter clothing. Training in this sort of weather? He'd save it till he was much older, and could actually cope with weather. He swore, he'd need to go through some serious landscape training in order to bear the cold. Well, either that or go to somewhere other than Kumogakure.
Sho before long had already traversed himself to the insides of the big city, heading to one of his more favourite restaurants. He was going to gorge himself on Ramen and Red Bean Paste meat balls. Within minutes, he was replacing his jacket with a more, lighter NOTHING. In just his shirt he had sat himself down at a table- already having being welcomed by the owner and his... lady friends. Sho had always been quite fond of the ladies.. but he had a thing for black or red haired girls. It was also unfortunate they were civilians too. Such beauties.
Sho was snapped out of his thoughts when a strikingly beautiful woman came to his attention, pen in hand and ready to take the order. "Hey, Sho-kun. What can I order for you today?" She spoke in her velvet-like voice. "It's excellent to see you too, Sai-Chan. I'm brilliant thanks, so entrhalled for you asking. But... if you must ask, it's the same as every time you ask me that question." Sho replied back monotously with a hint of a smirk. She gave a light giggle while placing a hand over her mouth and speaking "Well, Sho-kun I believe in free choice, you might choose one day to order something different. Beef Ramen and meatballs it is, oh, and thank you for complimenting me on my beauty. I'm enthralled. No, really. You do it like, all the time." It was apparent she was playing his game. Sho released a hearty laugh.
"Touché." and then he began to set into his reading material. He was reading into the more advanced subjects of Medical Diagnosis and how to treat certain in-battle wounds. Well, practise was a whole 'nother thing. But then a shiver went down Sho's spine. I'm certain my mother just realized I'm not training... hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Yet, he did not move.
Not too long later and his food was set upon the table, and the newly met girl named nodded briefly before attending to other customers. Sho began to dig into his food with a hearty 'Itadakimasu'
He stopped for a moment, because a figure just popped into the resturant... he couldn't distinguish if it was a boy or a girl due to the ever growing snowstorm outside. His eyes stayed fixtated.
